Introducing Two New Initiatives: This Week in Headlines & The MAWS Advocacy Report!

MAWS is excited to introduce two new initiatives that we will be sharing on our website and social media platforms! Starting August 2022, we will be publishing media monitoring and MAWS advocacy reports on our platforms.

Whether you work in the anti-violence sector, an aligned sector, or even if you’re just interested in what’s happening in your community here in Manitoba, keeping up with the latest news in social and gender equality-related issues is more important than ever. We’re bringing you a compilation of the week’s headlines from Manitoba, Canada, and around the world that you don’t want to miss.

We’re also excited to share another project – the MAWS Advocacy Report! Our team works hard to support our members, associate members and stakeholders in the anti-violence and survivor safety and support work they do every day. The projects we are engaged in range from communications and public education, to training development, policy analysis, and resource coordination. Our Advocacy report will highlight the MAWS Team’s community building work with stakeholders in Manitoba and across Canada.

Watch our blog, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates on our new initiatives, starting next week!
