Shelters are open to help victims of domestic violence. Call 1-877-977-0007, 24/7 crisis line if you need help from the domestic violence shelters.
If you are going to a shelter please let the counsellors know if you or your children have been travelling internationally or in the United States, and if you have cold or flu like symptoms. If you are experiencing symptoms, even if you know it’s just a cold the shelters need you to take extra precautions like using a face mask and washing your hands.
Most people with mild coronavirus illness will recover on their own.
